I've been using Android since it's easier when it comes to APK downloading. Not entirely sure how to use taptap on iOS since I haven't tried it before. I'm unsure if the workaround still works but you can try to make a CN Apple ID on desktop and see if you're able to skip the phone verification part (had to ask a friend about this).

sorry if this is like, a dumb question but how do you manage to download beyond the world if you are outside of mainland China? For iOS it says I need phone verification which I do not have. I remember I downloaded the HK version for Shining Nikki when it came out in 2019 but that’s different I know. This is my first time downloading a game from mainland China and usually I would stick to just waiting and watching videos on YouTube or Bilibili but I really want to have it myself. I saw there are mumu and taptap version as well but how’d I do that? Again sorry if it’s like.. a clueless person at a retail store type of question.
